The Actel SmartFusion Evaluation Kit supports the SmartFusion mixed-signal FPGAs that feature integrated FPGA, an ARM Cortex™-M3 processor, and programmable analog, and comes with free one-year Libero Integrated Design Environment (IDE) software and Gold license with SoftConsole for program and debug. Actel Awards European Distributor of the Year to Avnet Memec

Avnet Memec, the highly specialised semiconductor distributor of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, has been honoured by Actel as “European Distributor of the Year“. The award was presented to Georg Hanak, Actel Business Development Manager at Avnet Memec, for outstanding performance at the annual Actel Sales Conference in San Francisco. Actel and Future Electronics today announced that both companies have agreed to a franchise distribution partnership

Chosen for their track record in demand creation and access to a broad array of markets, Future Electronics will provide comprehensive sales, support and fulfillment services for Actel’s complete portfolio of flash-based, non-volatile FPGAs. The franchise agreement is effective December 1, 2008, in the Americas and will expand into the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) territories on January 1, 2009.
