TTI, Inc. has been named Global Distributor of the Year, 2011 by TE Connectivity and has also scooped a Special Recognition award in the EMEA region for the same period.

TTI, Inc. has been named Distributor of the Year 2011 by connector giant, Molex.

At the ceremony to present the trophy, Mark Davies, Molex’s Distribution Corporate Account Manager – Europe commented: “At the end of our financial year Molex reviews the performance of our European Distribution Network in order to recognise and the Distributors that have had the strongest performance during the previous 12 months. TTI, Inc. has announced that Panasonic’s new V-FT series of low ESR SMD aluminium electrolytic capacitors is a full case size smaller than comparable products, representing a space saving of around 60%.

The combination of high capacitance and low resistance values in a small package has been achieved by the use of a high-capacity electrode foil and Panasonic’s propritary low resistance technology. Devices are available rated from 6.3VDC to 50VDC and from 10 to 2200μF in B to G case sizes (Ø4 to Ø10mm). Temperature range is -55 to +105degC and lifetime is 2000 hours at 105degC.

Applications include switching power supplies, DC/DC converters, industrial electronics, smart meters and telecomms which call for high efficiency and miniaturisation.

TTI, Inc. has announced two additions to Murata’s LQH series of wirewound power inductors that feature low profile, improved current saturation and low DC resistance. Both parts also feature full shielding to reduce magnetic flux leakage in order to enable low DC resistance and high inductance. These power inductors are ideal for power circuitry in audio-visual equipment and many other applications.

The LQH44P_J0 and LQH44P_P0 measure 4.0×4.0mm typical with maximum profile of 1.2 or 1.8mm respectively. The LQH44P_J0 comes in inductance values of 1.0 to 47μH; the 1.0μH part features rated current of 2.0A and low DC resistance of 0.048Ω. The LQH44P_P0 comes in inductance values of 1.0 to 22uH; the 1.0μH part features high rated current of 2.95A and very low DC resistance of 0.03Ω.

Over 120% growth for TE Connectivity (Tyco Electronics) sales

Harwin, the leading hi-rel connector and SMT board hardware manufacturer, has named global distributor of Passive, Interconnect, Relay & Switch and Discrete components TTI, Inc. as its European “Distributor of the Year” for 2010.

TTI, Inc., the global distributor of Passive, Interconnect, Relay & Switch and Discrete components, has named the winners of its annual Supplier Excellence Awards for 2010, which have become recognised in the industry for their detailed approach to measuring performance across several different criteria. Six suppliers met or exceeded the minimum points score required to achieve an award, with Murata scooping the top Platinum Level standard, Molex winning Gold, Bourns, Kemet and Phoenix Contact attaining Silver and FCI achieving Bronze.
