Analog Devices appoints Anglia to grow UK and Ireland sales

Analog Devices Inc. today announced that it has appointed Anglia as a UK & Ireland distributor. Analog Devices is expanding its sales channel network in Europe to achieve double-digit growth of its semiconductor business in the region over three years.

Carsten Suckrow, Analog Devices VP of Sales for EMEA said, “Analog Devices believes it has a substantial opportunity to increase its share of the European semiconductor market, and Anglia has convincingly demonstrated that as a channel partner they can make a real and substantial contribution towards achieving this objective.”

He continued, “Anglia has shown that they have a real and deep understanding of Analog Devices’ key focus markets including industrial process control, metering systems and instrumentation. They have exceptionally strong relationships with UK customers in these and other sectors. Anglia’s technical support is particularly impressive. Their strong team of Field Applications Engineers work closely alongside customers’ design teams to ensure that their design goals are achieved.”

Anglia Embedded joins European Sales Network for Advantech, a world leader in embedded computing

Anglia Embedded today announced that it has been appointed as UK and Ireland embedded channel distribution partner for Advantech, a world leader in single board computers (SBC), with effect from 31 March 2012. The agreement greatly strengthens the embedded distributor’s range for industrial automation, digital signage, kiosk and other embedded computing applications.

“Advantech completes Anglia Embedded’s full house of technologies from the world leading brands,” said Steve Rawlins, CEO at Anglia. “Anglia Embedded can now offer its customers a full portfolio of system components sourced from the world’s top brands, spanning displays, communications and SBCs.”

Anglia Embedded is proud to add this key line to its portfolio.” he said.

Anglia is number one UK distributor for Murata

UK electronic component distributor Anglia Components today announced that it has been named Distributor of the Year for Murata, after capturing number 1 position in the UK and Ireland network for the second year in succession.

TT electronics appoints Anglia as UK distributor

Anglia a franchised distributor for Welwyn, BI and IRC resistors Qualified to supply CECC components

anglia_ttAnglia today announced that it has been appointed as franchised distributor for the UK and Ireland by TT electronics, a world leading manufacturer of resistive components. Under the agreement, Anglia can supply the Welwyn Components, BI and IRC ranges including CECC and Mil approved components.

TT electronics strengthens Anglia’s product portfolio with the addition of specialist and innovative resistive products including high power, current sense, flameproof, pulse withstanding, fusible, high value, high voltage, precision and temperature sensing ranges. In addition, TT electronics has qualified Anglia to supply its entire range of CECC release and Mil approved resistive products.

Commenting on the agreement, Simon Barber, Sales Director Northern Europe, TT Electronics Components Group, said, “Anglia’s investment in its Hi-Rel division is extremely impressive, and we believe that they will expand our customer reach in the UK and Ireland. Prior to the signing of the agreement, TT electronics audited Anglia for the supply of its CECC and Mil approved products. Following this inspection, Anglia’s CECC qualification has been extended to cover the relevant TT electronics ranges, and its certificate and database entry updated. The new certificate can be found on Anglia’s website, and its updated entry viewed in the IECQ-CECC online supplier database. The TT electronics franchise complements the existing ranges of CECC qualified capacitors from AVX and Syfer offered via Anglia’s specialist division, Anglia Hi-Rel.

Anglia has invested strongly in its military and aerospace customers over the last two years, and is one of only a few elite distributors to hold AS9120, one of the world’s most demanding standards for the supply of components for safety-critical flight systems. It also holds ISO9001 and ISO14001 approvals and is a signatory of the ADS SC21 programme. Anglia Hi-Rel offers its customers full lot traceability, full approval documentation, ESD compliant handling and industry / MIL part number translation and conversion.

Anglia distributes Supertex mixed signal solutions

AngliaAnglia strengthened its analogue power portfolio and its grip on the solid state lighting sector with the announcement that it has been appointed as UK distributor by Supertex Inc., a recognised leader in high voltage analogue and mixed signal integrated circuits. Supertex is widely acknowledged as the number one brand for LED drivers. Anglia now has exclusive distribution rights for the UK and Ireland effective from 1st January 2011.

Bowman joins Anglia board

Distributor creates board-level semiconductor marketing position

John Bowman_AngliaAnglia Components, the UK’s leading independent electronic component distributor, has promoted John Bowman to its board, giving him the newly created position of Marketing Director – Semiconductors.

The appointment is a further mark of Anglia’s commitment to invest in its fast-growing semiconductor business, according to Steve Rawlins, CEO. “John has shown outstanding leadership and vision during his 13 years with Anglia, for example in growing ST as a strategic semiconductor franchise and building our M2M business. We believe that he has a big contribution to make to Anglia as we grow, further extending our semiconductor franchise base and opening new business areas,” he said, adding that the distributor has enjoyed an exceptional year, growing 35%.

John Bowman commented, “I am excited and honoured to be invited to join the Anglia board. I’m passionate about Anglia’s business and passionate about technology, and this is a fantastic opportunity to play a part in taking the business forward. Bowman was promoted to Divisional Marketing Manager for Semiconductors in 2007, a role which saw him take responsibility for forming Anglia M2M and Anglia Displays, building the franchise base for these two businesses. He has been at Anglia for 13 years and his career has included management roles in Business Development and Field Application Engineering. He joined in 1997 as Field Sales Engineer. Prior to this he was with TT Group plc.

Anglia qualifies for the supply of IECQ CECC accredited components

Awarded IECQ-CECC qualification to support defence and aerospace requirements

Anglia Components, the UK’s leading privately owned electronic component distributor, strengthened its presence as a supplier of electronic components to defence and aerospace customers with the announcement that it has been qualified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) for the supply of IECQ-CECC approved product.

Anglia is already one of an elite few distributors to hold AS9120, one of the world’s most demanding quality standards, accrediting the company to supply components for safety critical flight systems for the aerospace and defence industries. It is also a signatory of the ADS SC21 programme. Before awarding the IECQ-CECC qualification, BSI examined Anglia’s processes for the handling, storage and management of product in detail, to ensure that full lot traceability of any IECQ-CECC certified devices passing through its warehouse would be maintained.

Commenting, Steve Rawlins, CEO of Anglia, said, “The BSI have satisfied themselves that Anglia has the skills, the controls and the documentation procedures in place to handle IECQ-CECC qualified product. Gaining this approval is a further significant step in demonstrating to our military and aerospace customers that we are fully capable to support their supply chain requirements.”

Anglia serves an extensive military and aerospace customer base and supplies high reliability components from franchises including AVX and Syfer. Anglia is working towards gaining formal recognition under the SC21 programme, and expects to achieve this within six to nine months.
