Super Capacitor manufacturer, Cellergy, has launched the CLC range of ultra low leakage current (LC) miniature super capacitors to meet the growing demand to support pulse applications in hand held equipment. The CLC range offers 50% lower LC than the current CLG range , with Leakage Current as low as 1.5uA The CLC being only 12mm square is ideal for this hand held market which is often powered by Coin Cells or AA Batteries.
The CLC series of products is based on Cellergy’s patented screen printing process. Cellergy super capacitors are suited for pulse applications and are frequently used in conjunction with batteries to assist in delivering energy to the load offering a minimum of 500,000 charge and discharge cycles. The new super capacitors will offer a better solution for applications which require very low LC. Typical applications include RFID tags, Low power wireless transmitters, Medical wireless systems , Remote controllers, Energy Harvesting (including sensors for WSN – Wireless Sensor Networks), Audio systems, Memory back-up, Wireless alarm systems and also to replace Tantalum capacitors.
