Linx RF modules allow the easy and cost-effective addition of wireless capabilities to virtually any product. Mouser now stocking emulation tools for Texas Instruments’ DSPs

Mouser Electronics, Inc., today announced it has signed a global distribution agreement with Blackhawk, a high-technology company that specializes in advanced JTAG emulators, DSP development tools and software.

Mouser’s offering of Blackhawk products includes emulators from the XDS510- class models (USB510L JTAG Emulator, USB2000 Controller), XDS560- class models (PCI560, USB560 JTAG), and XDS560 Trace System. In addition to the emulators, Mouser will also be stocking Blackhawk adapters to fit with standard Texas Instruments JTAG target headers.

Demanding criteria for the Live EDGE 2008 Student Division yielded no winner, funds to be used to create engineering student scholarships

Premier Farnell plc, the leading multi-channel, high service distributor and its companies announces that scholarships will be created from the $30,000 USD prize money that was allocated for the student division winner of the 2008 Live EDGE Electronic Design Global Environment challenge. The prize money will be evenly distributed between Asia, Europe and the Americas, allotting $10,000 for each region. This year’s entries from the student division did not meet the required terms and conditions as outlined for the Live Edge competition, thus no prize could be awarded. However, keeping inline with Premier Farnell’s commitment to help progress and further the education of engineering students, the company will make it possible for students to apply for a variety of scholarships from the prize money, starting on Friday the 15th of May 2009 via the Live EDGE website, www.Live-Edge.com.
