Digi-Key Corporation Signs Worldwide Distribution Agreement with DLP Design, Inc.

Digi-Key Corporation and DLP Design, Inc. announced today that the companies have entered into a worldwide distribution agreement. DLP Design provides hardware and software solutions that make it easy for engineers and hobbyists to interface to a host computer via the USB interface. Products include USB adaptors, USB security dongles, development boards, modules and adapters, temperature humidity sensors, microcontroller FLASH programmers, prototyping boards, and RF/RFID products. DLP Design products stocked by Digi-Key are available for purchase directly from Digi-Key. These products are featured on Digi-Key’s websites and will be featured in future print catalogs.

Anglia adds M2M comms capability with Cinterion

Anglia has signed a UK and Ireland distribution agreement with the world’s leading manufacturer of GSM and GPRS modules, Cinterion – formerly Siemens Wireless Modules. Under the deal, Anglia will provide sales, marketing and design support to promote Cinterion’s entire product range.

The agreement further extends Anglia’s wireless portfolio, enabling it to offer design-in solutions for a rapidly expanding variety of machine-to-machine (M2M) applications making use of the mobile phone network. Applications include remote utility metering, fire and security system monitoring, e-tolls, secure transactions, POS terminals, asset tracking systems and mobile computers.

European distribution agreement with Recom increases Arrow’s focus on power supplies

Arrow Electronics has expanded its power technology portfolio by signing a distribution agreement with Recom, a leading global supplier of DC/DC and AC/DC converters. Under the terms of the new agreement, Arrow will sell and support Recom’s complete power converter product range throughout Europe.

Digi-Key Corporation and Altium Limited Announce Global Distribution Agreement

Digi-Key Corporation, a global distributor of electronic components, and Altium, the world leader in unified electronics design, have announced a global distribution agreement.

Digi-Key will distribute Altium’s Desktop NanoBoard, which will include a 12-month timed Altium Designer license. The Desktop NanoBoard will be delivered with a standard set of plug-in peripheral boards and a choice of one of three FPGA daughter boards.

Digi-Key will also carry the extended range of NanoBoard plug-in peripheral and FPGA daughter boards. These options extend the design choice and freedom available to designers.

Altium markets the combination of the Desktop NanoBoard and Altium Designer, Altium’s unified electronics design solution, as the ultimate Innovation Station. Because the NanoBoard is reconfigurable and independent of device vendor, designers are not constrained by having to choose the final device at the beginning of the design process. Arrow has announced a full range of technologies for the cooling of process control equipment. The company’s comprehensive portfolio of fans, heatsinks and accessories provides the widest variety of options for manufacturers and maintainers of equipment in industries ranging from food to pharmaceuticals.
